
Scott Secor begins his ninth year as the Sports Information Director at Southern Nazarene University and his eleventh year with the Crimson Storm Athletic Department.
Secor served as a Graduate Assistant for the SNU Sports Information Department in 1998-99 and became Assistant SID in 1999. Secor officially took over the Director of Sports Information position in May of 2001.
Aside from his duties as Sports Information Director, Secor has served as the voice of Crimson Storm Athletics throughout his tenure at Southern Nazarene, serving as the play-by-play announcer for the Crimson Storm Broadcasting Network.
During his tenure at SNU, Secor has developed SNU's sports website and his media guides have earned national recognition on the NAIA level.
Secor also developed SNU's highly successful post-season awards show, the SNUPY's, three years ago and serves as Executive Director of the show.
Secor began an internship program five years ago in the Sports Information Department, providing college students with the opportunity to obtain on the job training while developing skills for post-graduation work. The internship program now consists of eight positions; training students in photography, video editing, writing, game operations, broadcasting, and public address announcing.
Five years ago, Secor began the SNU spirit team; adding a drumline to the spirit mix, along with reinstating the school mascot and adding a flag guard.
Secor, a native of Elkhart, Indiana, graduated from Southern Nazarene University in 1998 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Communications. Secor then earned his Master’s of Arts Degree in Communication Arts in 1999.
Scott and his wife Brooke reside in Oklahoma City.
