  • Men's Golf finishes 11th at NAIA Preview

    (SILVIS, Ill.)---The Crimson Storm men’s golf team finished 11th at the NAIA Preview Invitational at TPC at Deere Run Golf Course in Silvis, Illinois on Friday afternoon. SNU posted a team score of 621 to take 11th in the 17-team tournament. Oklahoma City won the tournament with a score of 594.

    Individually, Andreas Andersson led the way for SNU with a 10th place finish after posting rounds of 71 and 79 (150). Johan Andersson followed his brother with a 19th place finish after carding rounds of 76 and 76 for a two-round total of 152.

    Other SNU finishes saw Brandon Blevins finish 26th with a two-day score of 153 (76 and 77), Justin Williams place 81st with a total of 167 (86 and 81) and Blake Jackson take 85th with a score of 168 (88 and 80).

  • Men's Golf finishes 4th at Lindenwood Fall Invitational

    (ST. LOUIS, Mo.)---The Crimson Storm men’s golf team finished fourth at the Lindenwood Fall Invitational at Crescent Farms Golf Course in St. Louis on Tuesday. SNU shot a team score of 931, with a final round score of 298 on Tuesday to finish tied for fourth in the 20-team tournament. Grand View won the tournament with a team score of 908.

    Individually, Johan Andersson led the way for the Crimson Storm with a 4th place overall finish. Andersson posted rounds of 80, 74 and 72 to shoot a three-round total of 226. Brandon Blevins followed with a three-round score of 230 after rounds of 78, 79 and 73.

    Other SNU finishes saw Andreas Andersson take 18th with a score of 233 (82, 77 and 74), Eric Smith finish 56th with a score of 242 (83, 80 and 79) and Adam Bahner finish 87th with a score of 250 (87, 83 and 80).

    SNU has one win this fall already and three top five finishes in four tournaments.

  • Men's Golf finishes 11th at Territory Classic

    (DUNCAN, Okla.)---The Crimson Storm men's golf team finished 11th at the Territory Classic in Duncan that concluded on Tuesday. SNU improved their score by four strokes on Tuesday, shooting a 303 after posting a 307 on Monday. However, the Storm was not able to climb the standings, staying put at 11th.

    Individually, Andreas Andersson had the best round on Tuesday, shooting a 73 after a 76 on Monday. Andersson finished 20th overall and was tied with teammate, Brandon Blevins. Blevins had rounds of 73 and 76.

    Johan Andersson added a 48th place finish (79, 74), Adam Bahner was 71st (79, 80), and Sam Johnson was 81st (81, 83).

  • Men's Golf in 11th after day one of Territory Classic

    (DUNCAN, Okla.)---The Crimson Storm men’s golf team struggled on day one of the Territory Classic in Duncan, finishing 11th with a team score of 307 in the 17-team tournament. SNU has finished 1st and 2nd in their first two tournament’s thus far this year, but had an off day on Monday in the opening round of play.

    Individually, Brandon Blevins led the way for the Crimson Storm with a 73 and is currently 11th overall.

    Andreas Anderson, who won last week’s tournament for the Crimson Storm in Lubbock, is 30th after shooting a 76 on day one. Other SNU scores saw Adam Bahner and Johan Andersson each post a 79 (57th), and Sam Johnson shoot an 81 (70th).

    Play will conclude tomorrow in Duncan.

  • Men's Golf surges to finish second at LCU Invite; Andersson takes 1st

    (LUBBOCK, Texas)---The Crimson Storm men's golf team climbed from fourth place to second place in the final round of play at the Lubbock Christian University Fall Invitational on Tuesday afternoon.  SNU posted a final round score of 284 to finish with a three-round tally of 857, finishing one stroke ahead of Western Texas Community College.  Individually, SNU's Andreas Andersson won a playoff to take home first place honors with a final three-round score of 205.  Andersson shot rounds of 69, 71, and 65. 

    Oklahoma City won the event with final three round score of 847.  SNU did have the low round of the day on Tuesday, beating OCU by three strokes. 

    Andersson, shot the low round of the day on Tuesday, posting a 65 and won a one-hole playoff with Texas Tech's Finley Ewing IV to capture medalist honors.

    The Crimson Storm's Adam Bahner followed with an 11th place finish after shooting rounds of 71, 71, and 73.

  • Men's Golf in fourth after day one of LCU Invitational

    (LUBBOCK, Texas)---The Crimson Storm men’s golf team is 4th after round one and two of the Lubbock Christian University Fall Invitational in Lubbock, Texas. SNU shot a team score of 573 to place 4th in the 10-team tournament.

    Oklahoma City leads the tournament with a team total of 560.

    Individually, SNU’s Andreas Andersson is 7th overall after shooting rounds of 69 and 71 (140). Adam Bahner is 9th with a two round total of 142 (71 and 71).

    Other SNU scores saw Brandon Blevins shoot a 147 (71 and 76), Johan Andersson shoot a 148 (73 and 75) and Blake Jackson shoot a 156 (84 and 72).

    Play will conclude tomorrow in Lubbock.

  • Men's Golf wins Southwestern Christian Invitational

    (OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA.)---The Crimson Storm men's golf team started their 2009-10 season off on a strong note, winning their opening tournament at Lake Hefner Golf Course in Oklahoma City on Wednesday. SNU claimed first place at the Southwestern Christian Invitational after shooting a team score of 553 to out-distance Central Baptist of Arkansas. Central Baptist finished with a team total of 558.

    Individually, SNU's Andreas Andersson and Brandon Blevins led the way for the Crimson Storm with a pair of second place finishes. Andersson (67 and 69) and Blevins (65 and 71) each shot a two-day total of 136.


    SNU's Johan Andersson followed with a 6th place finish (142), Eric Smith was 7th (144), and the trio of Adam Bahner, Sam Johnson and Trey Stiles finished 8th with scores of 145.

  • SNU's Justin Williams earns NAIA Scholar Athlete honors

    (KANSAS CITY, MO.)---Southern Nazarene University junior men's golfer, Justin Williams, was named an NAIA Scholar Athlete it was announced on Thursday by the NAIA.

    Williams, a Sports Management major from Mustang, earns his first Scholar Athlete honor.  Williams finished up a solid junior campaign by finishing 31st at the Sooner Athletic Conference Championships in April, helping SNU to a 6th place overall finish.  Williams' best finish of the season came at the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational on April 7th where he finished 3rd overall.   

    As a team, SNU just missed making the NAIA National Championships by one spot earlier in the month.  SNU finished the 2009 season ranked 17th in the final NAIA poll.

    NAIA Scholar Athlete's are nominated by the institutions head coach, and the student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify.

  • Women's Golf takes 2nd at Vikes Shootout

    (VICTORIA, B.C.)---The Crimson Storm women’s golf team finished second in their final fall tournament on Tuesday. SNU posted a team score of 636 to take 2nd place at the Vikes Shootout at Cordova Bay Golf Course in Victoria, British Columbia. Victoria won the tournament with a team total of 624.

    Individually, SNU was led by Andrea Rojas’ 4th place finish. Rojas posted a score of 156 with rounds of 78 and 78. Heather Fulcher followed with an 8th place finish after posting a total of 159 (81 and 78).

    Other SNU finishes saw Amanda Arrington finish 10th with rounds of 81 and 79 (160), Erika Dolezelova finish 13th with rounds of 78 and 84 (162) and Jordan Ore come in 16th with rounds of 84 and 83 (167).

  • Women's Golf finishes 4th at OCU Classic

    (OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.)---The Crimson Storm women's golf team finished fourth in their second tournament of the fall season on Tuesday.  SNU shot a final round of 320 to finish with a team total of 635.  OCU won the tournament with a team score of 614.

    Individually, Andrea Rojas and Erika Dolezelova led the way for SNU with a pair of 5th place finishes.  Both Rojas and Dolezelova shot 154's for the tournament.

    Amanda Arrington followed with a 15 place finish after shooting a two-day total of 158, Heather Fulcher was 33rd with a two-day score of 169 and Jordan Ore was 38th with a two-day total of 172.

  • Women's Golf 3rd after day one of OCU Classic

    (OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.)---The Crimson Storm women's golf team is in 3rd place after day one of the Oklahoma City held at Lincoln Park Golf Course in Oklahoma City.  SNU shot a team score of 315 and trails first place Oklahoma City (306) and second place Lubbock Christian (309) heading into tomorrow's final round of play.

    Individually, Andrea Rojas led the way for SNU with an 11th place finish, shooting a round of 78.  Erika Dolezelova, Amanda Arrington and Heather Fulcher each posted rounds of 79 and are tied for 14th and Jordan Ore is 26th after carding an 82.

  • Women's Golf finishes 11th at ORU Invitational

    (TULSA, Okla.)---The Crimson Storm women’s golf team finished 11th out of 13 teams at the Oral Roberts Invitational on Tuesday. SNU shot a team score of 997. Oral Roberts won the tournament with a team total of 935.

    Individually, SNU was led by Andrea Rojas and Erika Dolezelova who each finished 41st with scores of 245. Rojas shot rounds of 78, 80 and 87 while Dolezelova shot rounds of 84, 78 and 83.

    Jordan Ore added a 251 (83, 89, 79), Amanda Arrington added a 64th place finish (89, 85, and 86) and Heather Fulcher was 65th with a three-round total of 261 with scores of 88, 89 and 84.

  • Women's Golf finishes 10th at Grand Canyon Invitational

    (PHOENIX, Ariz.)---The Crimson Storm women’s golf team finished 10th at the Grand Canyon Invitational at Coldwater Golf Course in Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday. SNU posted a final round of 315, chalking up a two-day team total of 618 to take 10th in the 16-team tournament. The tournament was SNU’s first of the 2009 season.

    Northern Arizona won the event with a team score of 580.

    Individually, SNU was led by Andrea Rojas’ 23rd place finish. Rojas carded rounds of 76 and 75 to shoot a two-day total of 151. Erika Dolezelova followed with a 37th place finish after rounds of 75 and 79 for a total of 154.

    Other SNU scores saw Amanda Arrington finish 43rd with a two day total of 155 (73 and 82), Jordan Ore finish 54th with a score of 158 (79 and 79) and Heather Fulcher finish 76th with a score of 172 (88 and 84).

  • Women's Golf 8th after day one of Grand Canyon Invite

    (PHOENIX, Ariz.)---The Crimson Storm women’s golf team is 8th place at the Grand Canyon Invitational at Coldwater Golf Course in Phoenix, Arizona at the conclusion of round one of play on Monday.  SNU shot a team score of 303 in the 16-team tournament.  Northern Arizona leads the tournament with a team score of 285.

    Individually, Amanda Arrington led the way for the Crimson Storm with 73 on  Monday.  Arrington is currently 9th place overall.  Erika Dolezelova shot a 75 and is 24th overall.

     

    Other SNU finishes saw Andrea Rojas shoot a 76 (32nd), Jordan Ore card a 79 (50th) and Heather Fulcher shoot an 88 (78th).

     

    Play concludes on Tuesday in Phoenix.

  • SNU's Andrea Rojas named NAIA Honorable Mention All-American

    (KANSAS CITY, MO.)---Southern Nazarene University junior women's golfer, Andrea Rojas, earned Honorable Mention All-America honors it was announced by the NAIA on Tuesday.  Rojas, from Bogota, Colombia, earns her first All-America honor at Southern Nazarene.

    Rojas helped lead SNU to the program's 14th straight NAIA National Tournament appearance last week and the junior finished 30th overall, while helping SNU to a 14th place finish in the team standings.

    Rojas had seven top ten finishes in 2008-09 and earned five top five finishes during the season.  Andrea also had a tournament win, collecting first place at the Builder's Classic in Winfield, Kansas on March 24th.  At the Sooner Athletic Conference Championships, Rojas finished 11th overall.
