Since the inception of the SNU men’s soccer program in 1978, the Wanda Rhodes Soccer Complex has served as the home of SNU soccer. The 25-acre complex is home to SNU men and women’s soccer and has served as the temporary practice home for SNU football in 1999 and 2000.

SNU’s Wanda Rhodes Soccer Complex is named after long time SNU faculty member and coach, Dr. Wanda Rhodes. Dr. Rhodes was a coach for SNU’s women’s basketball teams and tennis teams during her career at SNU.

The Rhodes Complex houses SNU men and women’s soccer during the fall seasons. For soccer, the Complex seats 500 in the main bleachers, but the capacity is much more with good viewing available down the sidelines and around the field for fans to bring lawn chairs.

The Rhodes Complex sits on 25 acres of land just west of the main SNU campus on Northwest 50th and Thompkins, between Rockwell and Council Roads. The soccer field includes one lighted main field, two practice fields, a dressing room for both the men’s and women’s teams, restrooms, a ticket booth, concession stand, storage units, home and visitor covered benches, and a press box.

The main playing surface (Wes Harmon Field) is named after former SNU men’s soccer coach, Wes Harmon. Harmon, who started the SNU soccer program in 1978, coached Southern Nazarene men’s soccer through the 1992 season and left SNU with a 205-96-16 record. Harmon is SNU’s all-time leader in wins in soccer. During his illustrious 15-year career, Harmon led SNU to nine straight District Nine Titles from 1981-89 and took SNU to the National Tournament three times. Dr. Harmon was also a professor in the SNU Religion Department.

In 25 years of competition on Wes Harmon Field, the Crimson Storm men’s program has won 155 games, lost 76 and tied three times, a winning percentage of 66%. SNU’s women’s program, started in 1993, has a record of 75-21-2, a winning percentage of 77% on Wes Harmon Field.
